Cosy Beamed Holiday Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage for two, set in the heart of Cayton Village near Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK. It's on the main street in a small terrace of cottages built in the 1860's and is about 1.5 miles away from the beautiful sandy beaches of Cayton Bay (Google map, Flickr pics).
As you enter the cottage via the front door, you enter the living room which contains the original exposed beams, a comfortable sitting and dining area with a colour tv.
At the rear of the property is a beamed kitchen with electric oven, fitted units, fridge, microwave oven and radio cassette.
An open plan staircase leads from the living room to a spacious beamed bedroom which contains twin beds. There's plenty of storage and cupboard space and a cot is available free, on request. Also upstairs is the large bathroom, which houses the W.C., washbasin and bath.
Downstairs, the back door opens onto a pretty, shared, flowered courtyard, which is a sheltered place to sit in on a sunny day. Our neighbours are very friendly and are sure to make you feel welcome.

The cottage is a short stroll from the well stocked village shop, post office, fish and chip shop, two public houses and the 16th century Cayton Church. About 1.5 miles away there is a large Morrison's supermarket, and Scarborough is only about 5 miles away. Filey is very nice too, about 7 miles away.
Cayton Bay is popular with surfers. There's a surf shop and surf school, and there's a webcam and you can check surf conditions here.

The cottage is available for rent all year round, during Christmas the cottage will be decorated for the festive season. Except during June, July and August, short breaks, weekend and midweek bookings are available. Need a last minute break? Get in touch, we may be available.

A deposit of £20 is required within seven days of booking, the balance payable one month before arrival.
The deposit is non-refundable. If you find you must cancel after you have paid your balance and you do so more than seven days before the start of your booking we will refund 50%. No refund may be made for cancellations made at shorter notice.
Duvets and bed linen for the twin beds are provided, but cot linen is not. All electricity and gas is included.
Breakages must be paid for by the tenant.
Smoking is permitted in the downstairs area only, not in the bedroom or bathroom.
Small dogs are welcome if kept under control and away from the sleeping area.
You should vacate on your day of departure by 10:30. New arrivals should find the cottage available from 13:00.
